SNOOP DOGG has sensationally revealed he would LOVE the chance to invest in Celtic.
The rap legend is one of the most famous celebrity fans of the Glasgow club and is keen to explore sports team ownership after seeing the success of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney with Wrexham.
Snoop, 53, has been following the Hoops since 2005 and has been spotted wearing the team’s colours on several occasions.
Now he’s ready to go a few steps further and even described some of the links between himself and the club as a “match made in heaven”.
Speaking to the Sunday Mail, the 17-time Grammy Award winner explained why he’d jump at the opportunity to invest in Celtic over any other club.
He said: “I love what Ryan has done with Wrexham, it’s just a great story.
“Investing in a sports team has been something I have been looking at for a long time.
“If the chance came to invest in Celtic, I would be crazy not to take a look at it.
“I have watched so much soccer in Europe but I have never seen fans like the Celtic fans. There is something so special about them.
“There is a reason why their fans are talked about across Europe.
“The best players and coaches in the world tell you there is nowhere like Celtic Park and I want to be a part of that.
“Their mascot is a hound, you couldn’t make that up. Snoop Dogg becomes Hoopy the Hound, that’s gotta be a match made in heaven. The headlines write themselves.”
Regardless of whether the multi-millionaire pours any funds into the Parkhead club any time soon, he is desperate to attend a game with Celtic’s most well-known celeb fan, and another music icon into the bargain.
That man is of course Sir Rod Stewart.
Snoop said: “I would love to go to a Celtic game with Sir Rod, if not this season maybe the next. We need to make that happen.
“He is one of the true kings of Vegas and, for real, Vegas has always been Snoop’s town.”
Snoop clearly knows a thing or two about Scotland and Scottish artists.
And he dropped a surprising name into the conversation as he revealed a dream duet partner.
The Gin & Juice singer called on Susan Boyle to link up with him for a song.
He said: “Susan Boyle is a name everybody is going to remember.
“My boy Simon Cowell knows a star when he sees one and knows how to make serious money for everybody involved.
“I haven’t heard about her in a long time but Susan needs to make a comeback. I’d love to sing with her.”
Snoop Dogg also paid tribute to the Scottish fans he meets whenever he visits the country.
He revealed that he’s often given a Celtic top or treated with bagpipes upon his arrival.
“Scots always give me so much love, I am welcomed with bagpipes or a Celtic jersey,” he said.
