Pearl Beach is a beautiful bushland village on the NSW Central Coast. The Pearl Beach Arboretum Environmental Art Trail (PBEAT) will be held in from Saturday 22 March until Sunday 27 April 2025. PBEAT provides a venue for artists to create inspiring temporary public art that promotes nature conservation, supports community identity, and increases cultural vibrancy on the NSW Central Coast. The theme for PBEAT2025 is “#harmony through nature”. Schools, community groups and artists will install installations inspired by the natural environment.
An additional Artist Residency has been made possible by Central Coast Council ‘Creative Art Central’ Program’ including a $5,000 artist fee plus $2,000 towards two weeks accommodation in Pearl Beach from 15th to the 30th March 2025. The artist must produce a work of Art in the Arboretum inspired by “harmony through nature” and responding the the Arboretum setting. In addition the artist will hold two community worshops and will mentor a lcoal emerging artist.
The Arboretum will consider any art form inspired by the theme and the setting including visual art and performance art. Temporary installations are valid and all works must be developed on the understanding that there is no security at the site, and that the Arboretum will retain joint copyright.
